Just back from a long weekend in San Francisco.

We have to share this gem of a restaurant with you. A terrific menu, great casual atmosphere, and Nettie and Brian are delightful. Nettie’s crab roll is to die for and the fish and chips are the best we have ever had (really and truly). There are a lot of great restaurants in San Francisco, but this one’s a must.

A little melancholy today. I just plain ol’ miss my mom’s apple pie.

Smelling the apples cook with just the right amount of cinnamon and sugar.

She would let us roll up the left-over pie crust and sprinkling a little magic between the layers. She called them bun-ums.

My mouth is watering. Just in case you need a recipe, organic apple pie.
