staff retreat :: hotel monaco
Friday night, Frances, Ruby and Lola took part in an evening at Hotel Monaco in Denver. This Kimpton Hotel is great in allowing your well behaved pets stay with you. In fact, if you don’t have a pet, you can request a goldfish in your room to keep you company. And yes, Miss Frances was the center of attention!

emotional roller coaster
It has been a long week and we’ve been on an emotional roller coaster. We were able to go to our house this morning. Everything is completely fine. In fact, way better then expected. Barely any smoke scent and only a light dusting of soot in and outside the house. Quite remarkable. A blessing for us but much heart ache for those who were less fortunate.

devastating days
I’d like to take a moment and share with you a neighborhood not far from my home. I know the houses all too well. We’re waiting patiently to hear if our house is, or will be, part of the Waldo Canyon Fire. These pictures were taken yesterday evening into night. glass cloche :: decorate
We adore glass domes. Such a stylish way to display a birds nest, sea coral, a grouping of succulents, or whatever floats your boat. Frances found a terrific source, The Evolution Store, but please note: she’s not too fond of the taxidermy section.
