friday at five :: the perfect storm

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 oz Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum
  • Splash of fresh lime juice
  • 2 dashes Angostura Bitters
  • Ginger beer

Garnish: Lime wedge

Glass: Highball or rocks

PREPARATION

Add all the ingredients, except ginger beer, to a highball or rocks glass filled with ice. Garnish with a lime wedge. Top with ginger beer.

friday at five :: elderflower fizz

 

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 oz Lime sour (two parts organic lime juice, one part organic agave nectar)
  • .5 oz Square One Organic Vodka
  • .5 oz St-Germain
  • 1 tsp Organic agave nectar
  • Gruet Brut sparkling wine

Garnish: Organic thyme sprig

Glass: Champagne flute

PREPARATION:

Add all the ingredients except the sparkling wine to a Champagne flute. Top with sparkling wine. Slap a thyme sprig once between your palms to release its oils. Use it to stir the drink and leave it in as a garnish.

friday at five :: got the blues

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1.5 oz El Tesoro Platinum Tequila
  • 1 oz Blue Curaçao
  • 1 oz Lime juice
  • 1 Lemon wheel
  • 2 oz Champagne

Garnish: Orange slice, mint leaf and cherry

Glass: Collins

PREPARATION:

Add all the ingredients except the Champagne to a Collins glass and fill with ice. Top with the Champagne and garnish with an orange slice, mint leaf and cherry.

friday at five :: Sugary Lime

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1.5 oz rum
  • 1 oz lime brown sugar syrup*
  • 1 oz water
  • .5 oz orange liqueur

Garnish: Grated nutmeg and lime slice

Glass: Highball

PREPARATION:

Add the rum, lime brown sugar syrup, water and orange liqueur to a highball glass filled with ice. Garnish with grated nutmeg and a slice of lime.

* LIME BROWN SUGAR SYRUP

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup fresh lime juice
  • 4 tablespoons brown sugar

PREPARATION:
Combine 1 cup of fresh lime juice and 4 tablespoons of brown sugar. Let the mixture sit overnight in the refrigerator before using.
