Le Bellechasse, Saint Germain

In my twenties, I stayed in St Germain, France. My favorite was the chocolate croissants fresh from the bakery each morning.

Lobster Bisque

I can see the image below hanging in this beauty of a kitchen. {MyHomeIdeas} and {Southern Living} … Okay, I admit, sage green is one of my favorite colors.

This is a fraction of a papier collé I’m currently working on. Working with the illustration as posted on Aug 31, 2010 (as pictured below) I have incorporated oils, as well as a layers of maps and imagery in the far background.

I’ve been working with this lovely lobster for weeks now. Incorporating it into one of my pieces. I take 18th and 19th century illustrations and give them new life through a process called papier collé.

There is no denying that Vincent Giarrano captures sea life in ways that I have only dreamt. Fine oil paintings like these are truly a remarkable find and would be an outstanding purchase that could be passed down from generation to generation.
