2011 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2011 annual report for the sage atelier blog.

A screen capture from over a year ago, we’ve come a long way baby…

We noted that the data was slightly off, our most popular day was on December 26th with 1,286 hits for that day alone, thanks to Desire to Inspire’s Reading Guide 2011.

Here’s an excerpt:

The concert hall at the Syndey Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 13,000 times in 2011. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 5 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

greenwoman magazine :: a literary garden

I’ve fallen head over heels for Greenwoman Magazine, an exemplary publication. Check it out {here} and see for yourself how delightful it is. Subscriptions are a mere $12.50, an absolute steal for everything you receive: a literary garden of fiction, nonfiction, poetry, commentary, biography, art and comics. A true labor of love by Sandra and Zora Knauf.

BUZZ:  “[Greenwoman zine] reaches the poet, the artist, and the dreamer in all us gardeners.”

the boy who bit picasso

The delightful true story of Tony Penrose, who counted Pablo Picasso – a friend of his parents – among his boyhood playmates. Filled with fun facts for tiny art aficionados, this book offers a rare and charming glimpse into Picasso’s personal life. A perfect gift for children and their parents. {via} An interesting article on Tony Penrose, here.
