blue bird on silver

My post on thursday gave me the incentive to create this piece. It has taken me every waking hour to get this far. Created with sterling silver leaf, which catches the light in a most spectacular way. Still have more to do … I’m hoping to have it ready for my next show on Saturday June 9th. {Show dates and places.}

pairing art and interior : the crab and crow

We think this pairing would be ideal. Either perched on this mantel piece …

… or resting on the night stand against this rich orange background.

This piece is still in the works. A papier collé of a mexican black bird. Artwork is on a 6 x 6 x 1 5/8 inch square birch wood panel. The sides are finished beautifully (gallery wrapped). This little gem will be have a thick coat of resin and will be ready to hang. Interested? Fifty five plus shipping. Visit here and contact the artist.

seventh sage : belt buckle line

We’re starting off the week with a new line of belt buckles. Back by popular demand, today’s feature is The Prince Edward Island Crow.

This buckle is made-to-order from an original papier collé.

halifax, nova scotia

I sometimes go through Nova Scotia en route to Prince Edward Island. I love taking the ferry. On this particular trip, the tall ships were in Halifax … perfect timing. 10 inch square, 1 5/8″ deep, papier collé on birch wood, resin coated. Available at here.

Lobster Bisque

I can see the image below hanging in this beauty of a kitchen. {MyHomeIdeas} and {Southern Living} … Okay, I admit, sage green is one of my favorite colors.

This is a fraction of a papier collé I’m currently working on. Working with the illustration as posted on Aug 31, 2010 (as pictured below) I have incorporated oils, as well as a layers of maps and imagery in the far background.
